There are many ways you can
help your child use technology. If you are connected to the Internet try
the sites listed in the Homework Helpers section.
If you have a computer at home, have your child explore in the word processing program you have. If you need to have a question answered, there is a help feature on most programs. Don't be afraid to try something new! Children are very good at experimenting on the computer. You can always quit out of a program without saving changes and nothing will be affected. When selecting software, try going to the web site of the company or going to a store that carries computer software. Try the program out yourself or have your child try it. You can get some great software fairly cheap at discount stores, too. (Caution: You might not be able to preview it before you buy it!)
