Greetings from the
Technology Center

Students
in grades three through six have instruction in the Technology
Center once a
week for a 45 or 55 minute period. Classroom teachers can also bring
their students into the Technology Center for independent work. All computer
stations are linked to the Internet and there are several software
titles available for all grade levels. (Software titles
targeted for K through 2nd include Thinkin' Science, Carmen Sandiego
Jr. Detective, Bailey's Book House, Thinkin' Things All Around
Fripple Town, Franklin's Reading World, Franklin Learns Math, and
Franklin's Activity Center.)
During the regularly
scheduled weekly instruction, students learn word processing, keyboarding skills,
graphics, and presentation software.
Students also use instructional software to complement the regular
curriculum and to practice skills in reading, math, social studies,
and science.
