Welcome to
the Technology Department
Information
technology and telecommunications experiences are essential ingredients in
the teaching and learning process. The
Administration and Board of Education
have provided the equipment and support
necessary to insure that students and staff members
become technologically
literate.
Clinton City Schools provides the following equipment, facilities, and services:
. Filtered internet access is available in all
classrooms and offices.
. One to five computers are present in each
classroom.
. All schools are equipped with state-of-the-art
computer labs.
. Students in third through sixth grades attend weekly computer
lab classes
at all schools.
. A full time, certified teacher is employed to
teach computer lab
classes for students in
third through sixth grades.
. The computer lab curriculum is aligned with State
Department of
Education goals for
technology instruction in elementary grades.
. Computer labs are available for scheduling by all grade levels.
. Libraries are automated at all schools.
. Technology professional development training for
staff is ongoing.
. Internet servers are present at all
schools to
provide firewall,
filtering, and email services.
. Teachers have access to digital
cameras, scanners, and laptops.
. A full time, certified staff member
serves as Technology
Coordinator.
