Pictures
After inserting your own picture (or the nopicture.jpg graphic if you don't have one), move your picture into the main Images folder and delete the folder teacherpics.
Make all teacher pictures 150 x 180 pixels. If you use a digital camera, the picture normally starts out 640x480. I normally resize the picture to be 180 pixels high and then crop the picture until it is approximately 150 pixels wide.
You will need to use a program other than Front Page to edit your images (i.e. Image Composer, Photo Shop, Paint Shop Pro, etc.).
Inserting Images
Click on the icon
to insert picture
If the picture already exists in your web, locate the picture in the Images file.
If your picture resides on a floppy disk or is on your hard
drive, click the following icon (after you click the insert picture icon)
.
This will allow you to choose your A drive or to search your C drive for the
picture.
After you have located your picture, click OK and it will insert the picture into your document.
When you save your page, it will ask you to save your images. Always save your images in the Images folder. If you want, you may create folders within the Images folder to help keep your pictures organized.
To save your images in the Images folder, when it asks you to save the images, select Change Folder. From there, click on the Images folder, click OK.
To create a new folder in your Images folder, double click on the Images folder. Select File, New, Folder. Name the folder any name of your choice.
Fonts
To keep a consistent look with everyone else, always use an Arial font. In most places, the "normal" font size will be appropriate (12 pt). Always bold any headers or titles on the page. This will set your title apart from any normal text within your document.
The titles on the default.htm uses Arial, Bold, 14 pt font.
